Apple Manhattan
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 1 ounce Berentzen’s apple liqueur
- Thin slice of Granny Smith apple, for garnish
Stir the two ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the apple slice. Alternately, serve on the rocks in an old fashioned glass.
Not to be confused with the sickly-sweet Sour Apple Martini, this drink is very much a bourbon cocktail, with an apple flavor. We used Maker’s Mark, but any decent bourbon should do fine. I think I’ll serve these again with an apple-cheddar quiche I have planned for dinner later this week.
