
SoHo Martini
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 ounce vanilla vodka
- 1/2 ounce orange curaçao
- Dash of orange bitters
- Orange peel for flaming
Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with flamed orange peel.
Flaming orange peel takes a bit of practice and it’s not a skill I’ve mastered just yet. I know how to do it, but it’s a challenge to do it smoothly and without the peel flying out of my grasp. Not to mention the inevitable finger burning on the match. Looks like I’ll have to make a lot of these to practice.
