After over a year of driving up to a Russian deli in the Richmond when I needed to restock the Youri supply in my freezer, Beverages and More is finally carrying it, and a few dollars cheaper to boot.

This is my favorite vodka but it can be incredibly hard to find. The first two years I lived in the bay area, I had to stock up on my occasional trips to LA and bring it back with me. In 2006 I found it in San Francisco, but on the other side of the city. Now, in 2008 I stumbled upon it at the BevMo just a mile from my apartment. Each BevMo carries different stock, but I’ve already called the BevMo in Oakland, where I’m moving in a couple weeks, and was able to confirm that they carry it as well. The other East Bay BevMo, in Albany, does not carry it but can order it.
