The Brazil 66 is a relative of the
Caipirinha, modified with the addition of Cointreau and orange juice, and with simple syrup in place of the sugar. This version is a little sweeter, due to these new ingredients, and the flavor, while still very similar to the original, is just a little more complex.
The Caipirinha, the national drink of Brazil, is normally made with just limes. In keeping with the cherry theme I have going now, I've added cherries to give it a fresh twist.
Caipirinha
1 lime
2 tablespoons superfine sugar
2 ounces cachaça
Crushed ice
